Hello! I’m Austin, the founder of Card Compass. A few years ago, I left my job and sold all my belongings to ride a motorcycle around the world, fully funded by bonuses from credit cards and similar products. 50 countries and 50,000 miles later, my wife and I are currently traveling through South America.

So how did I get here?

2013: Applied for my first credit card

2015: Started my career at a software company where I specialized in designing and analyzing rewards programs

2017: Flew across the U.S. to open a credit card, marking my shift from a normal person to that guy obsessed with credit cards

2020: Expanded my expertise to include banking, brokerage, and other related bonuses

2022: Turned this hobby into a livable income and set off traveling the world

2025: Founded Card Compass as a way to share the knowledge and benefits with others
